I have wide experience of theatre lighting design and technology in a variety of roles including lighting
designer and chief electrician on productions ranging from large scale theatre and opera to fringe studio events.
My specialist skills include networking and data programming. I enjoy working independently and as a member of a
team. I have developed strong communication skills through teaching in university and school contexts.
I have a background in IT support including data networking technology.
I'm currently a third year student studying on the Central School of Speech and Drama's BA (hons)
Theatre Practice course. I have a particular interest in how data networks are being integrated into performance
spaces and the development of data communications in lighting control.
I am currently developing a software solution that will allow Art-Net enabled lighting desks to control the
position, size and intensity of a PowerPoint slide show. As well as triggering the shows to start/stop and go forward
and back.
In my spare time I work with the Wiltshire Schools' Athletics Association as a results official
and data recorder for their biannual events. I create bespoke data management applications in Visual Studio that
utilises Windows Phone 7 applications and ASP.net web applications using an SQL 2008 database.
I also run workshops for GCSE and A-Level technical theatre students.
